The Mythe about Digital Television

One of the more popular devices that can be found in most any American home these days is the television set. Back in the `1950's, TV was what is known as an analog TV. But since then, the evolution of the television has reached new heights. Now with the miracle of modern technology, analog is now a thing of the past. High definition television has now made it debut, and a popular version of it known as LCD HDTV is now state of the art TV. Recently, analog transmissions from TV stations have ceased due to new federal regulations regarding television. But have they actually stopped? You might think that the stations now transmit digital TV signals, but the fact of the matter is that no signal can be broadcast as digital, as in more technical terms, a digital signal is acutally known as a square wave transmission. Square waves cannot be broadcast.  So what actually happens is that the analog signal, known as a sine wave is converted by the television receiver, and then enhanced by its circuitry to a square wave form. Most people who will read this article will say that this is not so, but the facts are the facts.
