Dallas and Minnesota - Winner plays New Orleans in the Championship Game

Well, now we know.. With the win in New Orleans on Saturday, the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings already know who they will be playing in Championship game. Who else but the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome next weekend. But if Dallas wants to get there in the Championship Game which will send the winner to the Super Bowl, then they must win today against the Minnesota Vikings. At the helm in Minnesota, Brett Favre will take on Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys. Just a few weeks back, Dallas whipped the New Orleans Saints in week 14 and handed them their first loss of the season. Dallas proved everything this year except one thing. They haven't beaten another team in an away game. If New Orleans would have lost on Saturday, Dallas would have earned the right to play the championship game in Dallas. Unfortunately, that will not happen as New Orleans won, and so the next game to be played in Dallas Texas now will be in the 2010 regular season next fall.
All in all, this has been a great year for the Cowboys to date, but all will be forgotten if they do not win the next two playoff games. The game today will mean the most to the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, and it Romo was to win the game, it would undoubtedly be the biggest win of his career. But he has a tall, tall order. He has to beat one the the most elite veteran quarterbacks to ever play the game, Bret Favre. I would love to see the Dallas Cowboys beat Minnesota in their stadium, but another part of me would love to see Bret Favre make it to the Super Bowl this year and win. Why? Mainly for two reasons. First, to prove to himself that he still had in him what was needed to play the game, and second, to prove to his old team mates in Green Bay that he is not the washed up, old quarterback that they coined him to be at the end of last season. I guess another reason would be that now he would be able to retire, leaving the game as a winning quarterback, ending his magical career with a Super Bowl win.
Still, another part of me would love to see Tony Romo win. Why? He has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt in those two back to back wins against Philadelphia that he is a super quarterback, and then even before that when he whitewashed a team in New Orleans that was running on an undefeated season until they hooked up with the Cowboys. He is a young quarterback, and going to the Super Bowl would do allot for his confidence and bring out his charisma that he tends to hide at times.
So here it is.. Just one more game won, and the Dallas Cowboys or the Minnesota Vikings will be playing for the Championship game in New Orleans. Of course the winner of that game will get to go to Miami Florida for the next Super Bowl.
