Recently, the President of the United States, Barack Obama gave another major speech, as he spoke with military cadets in training at a military academy. He gave his speech during prime time TV viewing, and was also directed at the country of Afghanistan and Islams worldwide. There was allot of skepticism shown after the speech by many people who oppose the liberal kind of thinking, or people who mainly support conservative principles. This time, both liberals and conservatives were split amongst the support for the Presidents plan for the new announced plan to deploy 30,000 more troops in Afghanistan, starting in January of 2010.
The speech was very strong, along with being one of the toughest speeches that President Obama had to make.
President Obama gave a generalized plan on what will take place within the next few months regarding troop deployment. He also stated a definite time line for the actions in Afghanistan, and specifically mentioned dates for the troops to return home.
